Inspired by Elevation

Named after the coldest and most unforgiving side of a mountain, The North Face has created a new collection inspired by the legendary seven summits of the world. Reaching a summit takes incredible skill and determination, which is the essence of this collection. The mountaineering brand is now bringing that same alpine character to the city streets.

The ultimate accomplishment in the world of mountaineering is to conquer the seven highest peaks on every continent (the 7 Summits) consisting of Mount Everest, Aconcagua, Denali, Kilimanjaro, Elbrus, Vinson and the Carstensz Pyramid. This challenge attracts the boldest to conquer the highest points in the world.

In 2006, The North Face athlete & ambassador Kit DesLauriers took the 7 Summits challenge to a whole new level, when she became the first person ever to climb and ski all seven summits. This incredible achievement cemented her place in history and introduced the combination of two sports: ski-mountaneering.

Inspired by Kit’s accomplishments and the mythical summits, the 7 Summits collection takes classic products to a whole new level. The collection includes iconic products such as the 7SE Himalayan Parka (799.90€) and the Limited Edition ’95 Retro Denali fleece (299.90€). In addition to the classics, the collection hosts a selection of completely new products: the Explore Haulaback backpack and the 7SE Bootie shoe. The collection is made with materials ranging from GORE-TEX infium fabric to premium down fill for long-lasting performance.

Each product in the collection comes with detachable patches - a node to the highest summits of the world. The aesthetics of the Alps, modern cuts and black & yellow colours seem to be the theme of winter fashion this fall.
