Cloything HOETY Skateboarding Video is Out!

The Finnish skateboarding brand Cloything released their newest skateboarding video this week, called HŒTY, or HÖTY. Even though the video is full of banger tricks, Cloything wanted to name the video HŒTY because it means sloppy in Finnish slang.

As Fredrik Karell & Tomson Tukiainen, the founders of Cloything jokingly explain about the movie: The name HÖTY (HŒTY) became a thing since none of us could really land tricks properly. Being the leading corporation of the whole industry can be tough at times. Cutting slack and allowing this kind of behavior has improved the mental health of our skaters. You don’t need to worry about achievements/compensations, we’ve officially eliminated all paychecks. Every mission is now full of joy and we rarely catch any footage. If we do, it’s definitely not the footage you wished for.”

Cloything’s skateboarding team filmed HÖTY (HŒTY) in various places around Helsinki, Berlin, Tallinn, Barcelona, and Malmö using only old Sony VX film cameras equipped with fisheye lenses.

The Skateboarders in the video are Mac, Beni, Troy, Eetu, Arttu, Denzel, Weskinen, Filip and Mini G.
